* All Purpose Sealer - Seal and paint at the same time!Seals and paints any
surface you can think of.
* Crackle Medium - Produce fine crazed or crackled patterns to make your
finished pieces look many years old.
* Texture Paste - Add lifelike texture and relief to your decorations. Like
all the other mediums it mixes directly with your colours and will not affect
the pigments.
* Retarding & Antiquing Medium - Slow down the drying time of the paint
so you can have longer to work the piece.
* Polyurethane Waterbased Varnish - Protect your finished piece with two
satin sheen coats of this beautiful varnish that actually cleans up in water!
* Glass & Tile Painting Medium - Mix this medium with Jo Sonja's Artists'
colours to make a translucent, decorative glass and tile painting medium.

Acrylic Mediums &Varnishes
* Acrylic Gloss Medium - A thinning medium for achieving a gloss effect. Not
reccommended as a final varnish. May be thinned with water.
* Acrylic Matt Medium - A thinning medium for achieving a matt effect. Not
reccommended as a final varnish.
* Acrylic Retarder - A translucent gel which retards the drying of acrylic
colour. Not reccommended as a final varnish.
* Nacryl Acrylic Gel Medium - Imparts waterproofing effect on water soluble
colours. Excellent for collage work and as a general purpose adhesive.
* Acrylic Gloss Varnish - Protects acrylic paintings with a gloss finish. Can
be removed with Acrylic Varnish Remover.
* Acrylic Matt Varnish - Protects acrylic paintings with a matt finish. Can
be mixed with Acrylic Gloss Varnish to provide a range of surface sheens and
can be removed with Acrylic Varnish Remover. Thin with water.
- Matisse
* Impasto Medium - Excellent for brush stroke, knife work, impasto painting
techniques. Water resistant, non-crack and low-sheen. No visual colour loss
with up to 50/50 dilution.
* Surface Tension Breaker - Increases flow properties and facilitates colour
penetration into absorbant paper or fabric grounds (ie. raw canvas).
* Gel Medium - A clear transparent colour extender, great for brilliant
coloured glazes and as a transparent impasto for thick 3-D brush and knife
applications. Dries to a glossy finish.
* Matt Medium - For intermixing Matisse colours, will flatten the low sheen
effects, for a tempera look. Good for hard edge painting, helps eliminate
side sheen and accidentally highlighted brush strokes. Not a varnish.
* Matt Varnish Polymer - Produced as a low sheen protective finish coating,
intermixable with Polymer Gloss Varnishes. Water resistant and non-scuff.
* Polymer Gloss Varnish & Gloss Medium - Both a gloss finishing varnish
and a glossy additive. Varnish gives the appearance of oil paints or shiny
enamel.
* Spreader Medium - Used to dilute Matisse colour to infinity, increasing
tranparency and water sensitivity to paint film. Soft colour hues and
delicate tones can be achieved.
* Painting Medium - Improves adhesion to non-absorbant surfaces, ie. steel,
copper, etc. Imperative for exterior murals to avoid weather erosion.

Jo

Matisse Flow Formula - A professional artist acrylic
colour and is arguably the highest quality product of its kind available
throughout the world.
Fas Students Acrylic - An excellent 'multi-purpose'
acrylic paint. Fas Student Acrylic is a non-toxic, waterproof, heavy
consistency paint which provides greater tonal clarity with brilliance and
performance.
Chromacryl Student Acrylic - Finger Painting or
screen printing; Portraits or Landscapes; Adult or Child, whatever or however
you paint Chromacryl can do it!
FAS
Art & Poster Paint - a non-toxic, waterproof opaque, matt paint with good
flow. It is used for general domestic art work, theatrical scenery, posters,
ticket writing and has many other uses.

Use as a base coat or
combine with Jo Sonja's colours for dramatic effects. WILL NOT FADE.

|
Oil
colours are made by dispersing pigments in drying oils containing additives
such as dryers, suspending agents and wetting agents. By adding drying oil to
oil colours artists can significantly alter the colours behaviour and
properties. The Artshop supplies Drying Linseed Oil, Refined Linseed Oil,
Drying Poppy Oil and Stand Linseed Oil.

* Helmar Crystal Kote Fixative - For pencil, pastel,
chalk, charcoal, water colours, tempera & ink. Clear, permanent
protection.

* Economy Gesso Primer - Abrilliant white, flexible students painting ground for canvas,
paper, masonry, etc. Strong white ground gives an excellent tooth for easy
paint manipulation.
* Artists Quality
Gesso - A brilliant white, permanently
waterrproof, non-yellowing,flexible painting ground for oil colours and
acrylics. Suitable for non-greasy surfaces. Wash up immediately after use.
* Rabbit Skin Glue
- Time-tested traditional method of first
glue-sizing then oil priming the canvas.
* Shellac Flakes -
Orange Shellac, soluble in alchohol. Used
as sizing for porous surfaces, as an isolating layer between films of paint
in certain techniques and for French polishing. Completely insoluble in
mineral spirits and turpentine. Disolve in metholated spirits to desired
consistancy.
* Whiting - Natural calcium carbonate, used as an base or extender
in oil painting. Best used in water-based mediums and glue sizes where it
retains its whiteness, i.e. Gesso.
Gouache
Many proffessional and leisure artists
use Gouache for a variety of purposes, including flower painting, subjects
requiring a delicacy of tone and as an opaque water colour.
Gouache is suitable for use with brush, airbrush and ruling pen on most types
of paper and board.
Windsor
& Newtons Designer Gouache-A range of brilliant opaque water colours
made from the very best pigmentsand highest grade of gums and wetting agents
to ensure an even flow, exceptional tinting strength.

Ink - Drawing
* Sharpie Permanent Marker - Mark almost

produces a quick ink flow that dries fast, resists water and stays

Oil Paint/Sets
W & N Winton Oil Colours - The use of oil colours
dates from before the fifteenth century when they were prepared by the master
artists' apprentices to closely guarded individual formulae. Windsor &
Newton combines this traditional knowledge with the latest techniques in
modern chemistry.
Maries Oil Colours -Maries are an economical range
of oil colours intended for students and those begining the art of oil
painting. Very economical for large canvas work.
Markall Paintstiks - Real paint in a stick form. An
oil medium with greater freedom and depth of expression. Excellent for
stencil work. Paintstiks perform beautifully with all conventional oil
paints. Ideal for quick spontaneous sketches - no mixing, no pallet, no
brushes, lightweight and easy to carry.

Liquin - The most popular
liquid medium, which will improve the flow of oil colours for smooth brush
work, subtle blending or fine detail. It also increases translucency making
it ideal for thin glazing. Can speed up drying time.
Wingel - A flammable, clear gel which produces a soft paste when mixed with
oil colours and is therefore ideal for expressive brush work.
Oleopasto - A flammable, stiff translucent gel specifically for impasto and
texture work. It dries to a crack-resistant and virtually non-yellowing film
when mixed with a knife (do not use a brush or the bristles will clog) it
retains knife and brush strokes and will not level out.
Painting Medium - A pale yellow thinning medium which improves flow and
wetting, thereby facilitating fine detail work. Dries to a flexible film,
with minimal tendency to flex, wrinkle or crack.
